মহান শহীদ দিবস ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস উপলক্ষে কর্মসূচি দিয়েছে বিএনপি।
সোমবার (১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি) রাজধানীর নয়া পল্টনে সংবাদ সম্মেলন করে দলের সিনিয়র যুগ্ম মহাসচিব রুহুল কবির রিজভী আহমেদ এই কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করেন।
তিনি জানান, ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি ভোর ৬টায় নয়া পল্টনে দলের কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয়ে জাতীয় ও দলীয় পতাকা অর্ধনমিতকরণ এবং কালো পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হবে। এরপর সকাল ৬টায় কালো ব্যাজ সহকারে প্রভাত ফেরীতে অংশগ্রহণের জন্য বলাকা সিনেমা হলের সামনে দলীয় নেতাকর্মীদের জমায়েত এবং আজিমপুর কবরস্থানে ভাষা শহীদদের মাজার জিয়ারত শেষে কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনার অভিমুখে যাত্রা এবং শহীদদের স্মরণে শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য নিবেদন করা হবে।
এছাড়া, মহান শহীদ দিবস ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস উপলক্ষে এ দিন সারা দেশে দলের জেলা, মহানগর, উপজেলা, থানা ও বিভিন্ন ইউনিট কার্যালয়ে সকাল ৬টায় জাতীয় ও দলীয় পতাকা অর্ধনমিতকরণ ও কালো পতাকা উত্তোলন, প্রভাত ফেরী এবং স্থানীয় শহীদ মিনারে ভাষা শহীদদের স্মরণে শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য নিবেদন করা হবে বলে জানান রিজভী।
তিনি উল্লেখ করেন, ‘ওইদিন দেশব্যাপী দলের বিভিন্ন ইউনিট স্থানীয় সুবিধানুযায়ী ভাষা শহীদদের স্মরণে আলোচনা সভার আয়োজন করবে।’
তার আগে ২০ ফেব্রুয়ারি (মঙ্গলবার) বেলা ২টায় রাজধানীর রমনার ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স ইন্সটিটিউট—বাংলাদেশ মিলনায়তনে দলের পক্ষ থেকে আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। দেশ বরেণ্য বুদ্ধিজীবী ও ভাষা সৈনিকরা এতে বক্তব্য রাখবেন।
