Android Auto 11 has been released under beta channel

An important build update to Android Auto, version 11, has just released. It’s a fresh build with various internal modifications. The update isn’t that much from the last one. With a focus on stability, the Android Auto 11 update enhances many of the current features, including the new Google Maps upgrade, Coolwalk, Dark Mode, DND, Digital Key, and many more.

Numerous new features and interface adjustments were made to Google Maps for Android Auto, including the addition of a new vertical sidebar that improves accessibility and usability.

Google Maps’ navigation user interface has a new colour palette as well, thanks to Android Auto 11.

Users of GMaps should now notice that the navigation user interface has a new colour scheme. With a darker hue of orange, red, and blue for the navigation lines, the maps are now easier to follow on smaller Android Auto displays. Take a look at the new colour palette added in the most recent update.

It should go without saying that the most recent Coolwalk version, which is currently accessible for all automobile head units, includes the redesigned user interface. In addition, a new vertical sidebar has been added to the left side of the screen. This sidebar neatly arranges all the key buttons so that users can readily access them.

The Settings button is now top-aligned for improved visibility and usage and sits among the other controls on the left. For comfortable navigation, the map zoom buttons are still located at the bottom.

Regarding the remaining functionalities, Google has eliminated the system’s reliance on the touchpad and rotary dial as with Android Auto 8.9. Some users have confirmed this with DHU and HUR. With these limitations removed, most automobile head units with Android Auto may now access a number of functions, including Coolwalk.

Waze, WhatsApp, Google Messages, and other third-party apps now support Coolwalk thanks to the most recent update.
